The cost for the physical connection from the road to the house, called a “drop,” will depend on many factors. Although the initial sign-up campaign has ended, Washington is still offering a credit of $650 off the installation costs while funding remains available. This is the cost of a minimum standard installation. It will cover a standard interior installation plus up to 150 ft overhead fiber connection from the road.
Drop connections that are further, involving additional poles, and/or involving underground service will incur additional out-of-pocket costs. Your installer will work with you to identify the most cost-effective solution, and you will receive a reasonably accurate estimate in advance of any installation work. The Washington Broadband Manager can also provide more information about your specific installation to help with planning.
Beyond physical installation, WiredWest will charge a one-time $99 activation fee to start a new service account.
