Alford Update
Your Alford MLP Board is happy to report that the installation of AlfordLink, Alford’s community-owned Fiber-to-the Home (FTTH) network, is well underway.
The burning question on everyone’s mind is: “When will I get service?” The MLP Board shares this anticipation. Unfortunately, we still cannot give a precise estimate because the completion date depends on many unknowns, among them the following: how long it takes to finish the installation of the distribution network; unforeseen issues in installing the service drops; setting up the electronics both here and at Whip City Fiber in Westfield, MA; and the successful testing of the system. Monthly service charges have been established at $110/month and $12.95/month for phone service. Please complete an application so that we have you in the queue for installation when appointments are available.
